Blog for the Asking
Here is my blog for the asking. Ask me and I shall write. I like Simon and Garfunkel. I feel myself sliding into a music transition; one of those times I need to find something else to listen to for a while, a genre break. I need something “new.” Perhaps I’ll go back to BridgeContinue reading “Blog for the Asking”
Fantasy Football
I’m already in way over my head Zack! It’s June! How is this possible? It happened so quickly. I’m officially advocating for people to actively guard against Fantasy Football Creep. Let me tell you how I realized that I am so fucked this Fantasy Football season IN JUNE. Number of leagues: They’ve crept beyond myContinue reading “Fantasy Football”
Where am I at?
Howdy! Today is Friday May 12, 2023. Where am I at? Well for one, my allergies are going bananas. The weather has finally transformed into that time of year we’re always dreaming about here in New England. The bloom is taking form and changing the landscape by the hour. The yard demands attention. Bugs we’veContinue reading “Where am I at?”
A Birthday Post
Today is my birthday! I have 29 years now. Most of my life I would’ve said that’s old as shit, but 29 feels good. The wide-ranging, volatile emotions of my youth seem to have dulled a bit, which is cool. Trying to focus on gratitude and positive thinking, but life is change. I tend toContinue reading “A Birthday Post”

The Saga de Hotonoma Still my inaugural book, I’ve let this fall to neglect. I have a meager amount of new material left to write, and probably aContinue reading “Projects Roundup & Status Report, Mr. Squirdward”
Announcing a 2023 project: Resistance
In the year 2020, the usually sleepy land of Covidia erupted into war. Resistance is the story of common folks forced to make difficult decisions in uncertain times. I will publish a new chapter of these unlikely heroes’ legacies each week, and don’t worry, it has nothing to do with Covid-19. Tune in on FridayContinue reading “Announcing a 2023 project: Resistance”
On my Book: The tentative name, and doing battle every day
Spirit Foul: The Fight for Ultimate’s Soul (tentative) Grace asked a little while ago that I put a completion percentage on our kitchen whiteboard. I thought it was an awesome idea. Totally qualitative, it allows me to silently keep the other literate member of my household up-to-date, as well as hold me accountable, and motivated.Continue reading “On my Book: The tentative name, and doing battle every day”
Hall of Famer: Falling back in love with Ultimate
This past fall, I was honored to be inducted into my college Ultimate team’s Hall of Fame. It is a small group- there are only five of us. The HoF started a few years ago and the first few choices were easy. This year the existing HoF’ers added two more of us, and I wasContinue reading “Hall of Famer: Falling back in love with Ultimate”

I like using the word count to pace myself, but I’veContinue reading “National Novel Writing: Halfway?”
