I am thinking about veterans today, so I thought I would post about a few of the books I’ve read over the years that share some of our modern veterans’ stories. Given my demographic, it may not surprise many that I have always looked toward the military genre for a reading fix. In grade schoolContinue reading “Veteran’s Day Reading”

National Novel Month Update: Week 1
Howdy and happy FriYAY! On Tuesday, with thousands across the nation, I began a novel. I don’t have a name for it yet, but I’m happy with my progress so far. The goal of NaNoWriMo (not a huge fan of the shortened name) is to write 50,000 words during the month, roughly the length ofContinue reading “National Novel Month Update: Week 1”
National Novel Writing Month
The story I will write for November Novel Month is based on a Dungeons and Dragons story I made up for me and my friends in an attempt to recreate one of my favorite childhood shows. In 1996, Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series debuted on Disney; the twenty-six episodes that were made had a lastingContinue reading “National Novel Writing Month”

College Essay: What Would I Say?
I dug out my college essay – written when I was 17. This stood for a long time as one of the few pieces of writing I was confident enough in to share. A little quirky, but I’m grateful to be able to look back into the mind of my 17 year old self. …Continue reading “College Essay: What Would I Say?”
Tales From Covidia
I made a page dedicated to small stories I’m writing within the beautiful world created largely by Chris Pierson and contributed to by our DnD group. There are many stories tangential to our stumbling just waiting to be told!
A manifest of accountability
I need a place to store and share my writing. For years I have allowed myself to neglect my inner nature to fully indulge in the habit of writing. Notes, journals, songs and poems have been a constant throughout my life, but come in flashes and waves. I have used writing to heal, express andContinue reading “A manifest of accountability”
